The company went IPO on 2004-04-08. The firm primarily operates in the business of importing and processing of liquified natural gas (LNG). The company operates through Natural Gas Business. Its Natural Gas consists mainly of methane and ethane, propane and butane. Its terminals include Dahej LNG terminal, Kochi LNG terminal and Solid cargo port. The Dahej LNG terminal is an LNG receiving and regasification terminal with an original nameplate capacity of approximately five million metric tons per annum, located at Dahej, Gujarat. The Kochi LNG terminal is an LNG receiving, regasification and re-loading terminal with a nameplate capacity of approximately five million metric tons per annum, located at Kochi, Kerala. Solid Cargo Port Terminal has facilities to import/export bulk products, such as coal, steel and fertilizer. Its subsidiaries include Petronet LNG Foundation, Petronet Energy Limited, and Petronet LNG Singapore Pte. Ltd.
